PowerNet Credit Union is the largest labor-based credit union in Florida and serves all Building and Construction Trade Local Unions and their members throughout Florida.
Membership is open to all Florida Building and Construction unions, their members, retirees as pensioners or annuitants of the Local Unions, spouses of members that died while a member, and organizations/affiliations of said Unions which include employees of the Unions and their relatives.
Membership in PowerNet Credit Union is Restricted
What started with one Tampa Local Union in 1961, is now serving all Building and Construction Local Unions in the State of Florida. If you are a member of a Florida Building and Construction Local Union, or a relative of a member, you are eligible to join PowerNet Credit Union to help Build $trength in Unity. It's Easy to Join
To open an account with PowerNet Credit Union, simply deposit $5 to open a savings account. There are no fees to join and your membership includes many savings options.
Your Money Is Safe With Us
PowerNet Credit Union is state chartered and regulated, and federally and privately insured. All funds on deposit for each member in non-retirement accounts are insured up to $500,000; the first $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a federal agency, and the next $250,000 by the Excess Share Insurance (ESI) Corporation, a private company. All funds on deposit for each member in retirement accounts (IRA's) are insured up to $500,000; the first $250,000 by the NCUA, a federal agency, and the next $250,000 by the ESI Corporation, a private company.
You Become a Shareholder When You Join
As a member of PowerNet Credit Union you are a part owner of your credit union. PowerNet Credit Union is a cooperative, a nonprofit association whose board of directors are elected from the general membership at an annual meeting and serve without pay. The credit union's mission is to encourage savings among its members and create a source of credit at fair and reasonable rates. You are the credit union.
